Today’s Parallels: “Lifelike” and “Hunger Games” (4.1.12)

It is odd enough that it is April Fools’ Day (and also my late grandpa’s birthday), but this afternoon I participated in the Lifelike exhibit at the Walker Art Center before Hunger Games captured my full attention in the evening. As a cultural studies enthusiast, I thoroughly enjoyed both experiences while engrossed in them, but it wasn’t until I sat down at home after the movie that it struck me how interestingly similar the two individual experiences were to have, one after the other.

I’ll just post the video to Lifelike and the Hunger Games trailer for now and see if we get any commentary. Depending on the visits and/or comments, I’ll fill in my commentary at a later time.
