Education Entrepreneurs: (meme image)
(A follow up to last post on Salman Khan)
If you use Facebook, you’ve probably seen the “What My Friends Think I Do” storyboard meme circulating.
Here is one for Education Entrepreneurs as I recently heard the term and thought it was pretty cool. Clearly Salman Khan is an Education Entrepreneur.
As you see in the image:
Parents think something along the lines of a camp counselor or teacher.
Society thinks you’re out building schools.
Politicians think you’re attending political events or school ribbon cuttings.
Investors think they’ll never see a return on investment.
You think you are a maverick.
But, really, you are probably writing software code all day.
The last one makes since because of the huge potential for software technology to intelligently solve global problems in education.
